Austin + Ashley’s Arizona Wedding

Austin and Ashley’s wedding day was beyond what I could imagine. I’m not just talking about the beautiful desert venue, the agate stone details, the mind-blowing Horseshoe Bend overlooking the Colorado River… but the people really topped the cake on this one.

Austin, Ashley, their family and friends were relaxed, trusting, and welcoming. This made my job easy, allowing me to really do what I do, and document the way I like to.

These two opted for the Bride + Groom session that I’ve recently started to offer… so, a couple days after the wedding we drove to Page, Arizona. We stayed the night in a hotel and then woke up super early to trek out to the Horseshoe Bend. They got back into their wedding attire and we spent the entire afternoon shooting epic portraits, stress free. We took our time, we trotted all around the Horseshoe Bend, and we ended up with some awesome memories and the most amazing photos that will fill their home for the rest of their lives.

After spending 10 hours in the car traveling to-and-from the Bend with Austin and Ashley (plus their family members Brittany and Johanna!) I felt like part of the family. We laughed our asses off, told stories, talked about future goals, relationships, and everything in between. I am so thankful for clients that are more than just clients.

I hope you enjoy a peek into their wedding day. And also, cheers to my first wedding shot in Arizona! A small step for mankind, a big step for my dream of being a traveling photographer.
